A tragic collision occurred in Chunchura Gowaltuli area when a motorcycle, carrying two individuals identified as Akash Sao (26) and Sarjeet Karmakar (23), collided with a pitch vehicle owned by Chunchura Municipality. The impact caused both riders to fall onto the road, resulting in one immediate fatality at the scene, while the other was rushed to Chunchura Sadar Hospital. Despite medical efforts, the second individual was declared brought dead by the attending physician. The victims, hailing from Old Kapasdanga, were reportedly returning from a friend's house when the accident transpired.
Local residents have voiced concerns over the prolonged presence of the municipal contractor's vehicle on the road, citing frequent minor accidents in the area. Despite repeated appeals to address the issue, no action has been taken thus far. Chunchura police responded to the scene promptly, managing the situation as investigations into the accident continue to unfold.
